Pattern Review… Katie's Festive 3 by 3 Tee

“This is the first pattern by My Handmade Wardrobe that I have made. I have never been known for my crazy fashion tastes so I chose a “staple” view of the pattern which will fit my "basics" wardrobe perfectly! I made the V-neck with the curved hem and it came together beautifully. The instructions were very clear and the pattern was well drafted with the curved hem actually looking like it should at the end; aligned perfectly!
I made a size Medium which fitted closest to my measurements and then I took 2 inches off from both sides along the full length of the t-shirt – I like my clothes quite fitted so this is my issue, not the pattern’s fault! The pattern proportions were some of the best that I have used, curving perfectly to my body shape.
I enjoyed making the grown-on sleeves as it meant that I only cut out 3 pattern pieces and used less than a metre of fabric.
The fabric that I used was a fairly soft jersey with a medium drape and you may have noticed I have made it ready for Christmas-I find that Christmas t-shirts are more useful than jumpers!
When I make this again, I will probably take an inch out of the body in the length as I don’t need it so long but this version still looks great! I recommend this pattern and look forward to stepping out of my comfort zone and making the tie-version!”
