Do you want to learn how to make your own patterns to fit you? Join us on our unique Pattern Making course!

We’re finalising plans to host a pattern making course to equip you with all the basic skills you need to start making your own patterns!

The course will be held at the Gresham Works connected to the beautiful and modern Gresham Hotel in Leicester city centre. There will be opportunities to attend as either a day guest or to stay in the hotel which is attached to the learning centre.

Over 3 days you will learn about sourcing and using inspiration to design clothes to suit your style and tastes, you will make a block to fit you and learn how to manipulate darts and move suppression around the body to create a 3D garment using flat patterns, design your own dress or top and make a pattern for your chosen design. Speedy sewists will also make a toile and may even complete a garment during the course!

Your tutors Sarah Laws and Cath McBean will be with you every step of the way to guide you through every process and provide you with skills you’ll use for years to come!

The course will be held in April over 3 weekdays and will include all materials, lunch each day and a course handbook to take away.
