Be Your Own Designer - The Pattern Making and Alterations course specifically for home dressmakers

Many home sewists want to express themselves through their sewing but struggle to find the patterns to do so. Pattern cutting from scratch can feel overwhelming with lots of maths and theories to learn. However, taking it one step at a time a learning to alter commercial patterns to achieve your own designs is a great starting point, I’ll help you discover how to do that!

This unique online course focuses on empowering home dressmakers to embrace pattern making skills in manageable chunks keeping your learning creative and fun.

Each month you’ll learn a new pattern making skill and I’ll walk you through how to apply it to a commercial pattern, one of our My Handmade Wardrobe Patterns or your own blocks.

Come shopping with me and learn how to “shop like a designer” and collate and edit inspiration to make creative decisions with confidence and then make your designs reality.
